About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at CentraCare Big Lake Clinic plays a crucial role in providing patient care during clinic visits. This position involves rooming patients, communicating medical information, assisting providers with procedures, and documenting treatments in electronic medical records. The LPN will also perform lab tasks, including venipunctures, administer medications and immunizations, and ensure the clinic operates efficiently on a daily basis.

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing required.
• Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) in the State of Minnesota required.
• Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS Healthcare Provider card required.
• Ability to understand patients' medical records, physician orders, and medication orders.

Responsibilities

• Provide patient rooming for all types of clinic visits.
• Communicate results and pertinent medical information to patients and providers.
• Assist providers with clinic procedures.
• Accurately document procedures and treatments in patients' electronic medical records.
• Perform telephone screening and gather information from patients to communicate to the RN or provider.
• Perform venipunctures and finger pokes as required.
• Administer medications and immunizations under the direction of the RN or provider.
• Assist in ensuring day-to-day activities of the clinic are completed timely and efficiently.
