About The Position

The LPN - Behavioral Health position at Harbor Oaks Hospital involves providing nursing care and services in a mental health and addiction treatment setting. The LPN will work full-time, with shifts available for both night and day schedules.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing required.
• One or more years of nursing experience within the clinical area of service provided by the facility preferred.
• Current LPN/LVN license as required by state.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available upon hire).
• First aid certification may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and administer basic care utilizing the nursing process within the LPN/LVN scope of practice.
• Role model expectations related to customer service and demonstrate urgency regarding patient safety.
• Collaborate with others to ensure that patients' needs are met and resolve customer complaints when necessary.
• Provide for the basic comfort of patients and implement individualized nursing interventions.
• Discuss care provided with patients and listen to their concerns.
• Report status changes and concerns to registered nurses and doctors.
• Communicate therapeutically and professionally with patients, visitors, coworkers, and others involved in treatment.
• Provide for the safe delivery of medication in accordance with policies and procedures.
• Maintain standards of professional nursing practice in accordance with facility policies and external standards.
• Responsible for thorough, accurate reporting and documentation of patient symptoms, responses, and progress.
