About The Position

The LPN position at Atrium Health One Health SouthPark involves providing nursing services in a physician office or ambulatory care practice. Requirements

  • Licensed Practical Nurse with a current license to practice in NC or SC.
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Practical Nursing.
  • BLS certification required per policy guidelines.
  • Previous medical office experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Provide nursing services in an office setting as part of a care team.
  • Document all patient care and interactions accurately in the medical record.
  • Participate in telephone triage, obtaining clinically appropriate data from patients.
  • Track and log ordered laboratory and diagnostic tests, presenting results to the provider.
  • Engage in pre-visit planning with the provider and care team.
  • Administer medications, including injections, and check vital signs.
  • Assist with reviewing medication history and updating medication lists.
  • Assist providers during procedures and examinations, including instrument and room clean-up.
  • Comply with safety and regulatory standards, including OSHA and CLIA regulations.
  • Report patient's condition and reactions to the provider after procedures or treatments.
  • Assist with patient inquiries regarding prescription refills, appointment scheduling, and referrals.
  • Participate in electronic documentation of care as directed by the provider.
  • Perform CLIA-approved waived laboratory tests and Point of Care testing as applicable.
  • Conduct Quality Control and maintenance for in-office lab procedures.
  • Perform venipuncture and assist with specimen collection for laboratory testing.
  • Prepare lab requisitions and specimens for pick-up.
  • Provide patients with Depart Summary and review at the end of the visit.
  • Manage vaccine and pharmaceutical orders according to state regulations.
