Join Cleveland Clinic Children’s School-Based Health Program as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) stationed at John F. Kennedy High School, where you’ll play a vital role in bringing high-quality care directly to students. Our School-Based Health Centers are nationally recognized for helping eliminate health disparities among children and adolescents by providing primary care, mental health support, health education, and more—right where students learn and grow. On our Mobile Unit, you’ll provide services such as well-child checks, sports physicals, immunizations, acute care, contraception, and medication follow-ups for conditions like ADHD and asthma, serving patients ages 4–18. In this rewarding role, you’ll work closely with a diverse pediatric population, make a lasting impact on their health and well-being, and grow your nursing skills with the support and educational resources of the Cleveland Clinic system.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing.
  • Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN).
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross.

Nice To Haves

  • One year of patient care experience.
  • Prior pediatric experience.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
  • Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
  • Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.
