Our pediatricians offer complete care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents. We encourage the healthy growth and development of children by emphasizing the importance of healthy lifestyles and educating parents and children on safety and accident prevention. We are available for problems that require prompt attention, such as fever, earaches and injuries, as well as preventive checkups, school physicals and immunizations. If necessary, we team up with Cleveland Clinic pediatric specialists from Cleveland Clinic Children’s. This is a PRN role. A caregiver in this position works 7:30am and 8:00pm.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved school of practical nursing
  • Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practice Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or the American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of patient care experience
  • Prior pediatrics experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide patient care activities under the direction of a Registered Nurse and/or physician.
  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about patients.
  • Complete nursing assessments and report all data.
  • Implement the current nursing care plan, medication or treatment and communicate patients’ responses.
  • Observe patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.
