Uncovering the cause of symptoms or a serious event, such as a heart attack, is our initial step in creating a customized plan of care to help our patients heal and get back to the life they enjoy. We offer a full range of heart and vascular disease testing services, in multiple locations to meet patients’ needs. A caregiver in this position works days from 7:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. Start and end times may vary.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved School of Practical Nursing
  • Current Ohio licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

  • One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

  • Perform patient care activities and complete required documentation for patients of all ages.
  • Collect and document objective and subjective data and observations about the patient.
  • Contribute observations and health information to the nursing assessment and report all data to the RN or authorized directing health care provider.
  • Implement the current plan of nursing care at the direction of the RN, or the medication or treatment authorized by the authorized directing health care provider.
  • Document and verbally communicate the patient’s response to the nursing plan of care, or the medication or treatment including observing patients for adverse reactions to medications or treatments and performing routine laboratory tests.
  • Contribute to the revision of the nursing plan of care
  • Provide education and information to patients and family members.
  • Maintain professional growth and development within nursing field.
  • Participate in the departmental orientation of new caregivers in a positive manner, share knowledge and experiences, and provide guidance when assigned.
