About The Position

The LPN in the Adult Emergency Department at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist plays a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. This full-time evening position requires a compassionate and skilled LPN to provide nursing care, assist with examinations, and ensure effective communication among the healthcare team.

Requirements

• Graduation from an accredited LPN training program required.
• Licensed Practical Nurse licensure from the State of North Carolina.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification required.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification required within 1 year of hire.
• Previous experience as an LPN in a clinical or other healthcare setting preferred.

• Experience in emergency care or acute care settings.

Responsibilities

• Provide nursing care activities consistent with education, training, and licensure according to an established health care plan, as delegated by the registered nurse or physician.
• Direct or escort patients to various clinical areas, prepare patients, and assist with examinations and assessments.
• Make observations, collect data, and report information regarding patient conditions.
• Perform physical and physiologic measurements using standardized guidelines.
• Serve as a liaison between patient and provider.
• Administer and document medications ordered by the providers.
• Call in medication orders to the patient's pharmacy.
