Ellie Mental Health – Clarkston is an INDEPENDENTLY OWNED AND OPERATED CLINIC serving both the local Clarkston community and the state of Michigan through our all-new office space and by leveraging our telehealth tools. Ellie Mental Health – Clarkston is looking for a compassionate and motivated clinician to join our fun, supportive, and growing team! In this role, you’ll get to do what you love most—providing meaningful therapy—while also stepping into leadership by supervising Limited Licensed clinicians. Requirements

  • A master’s degree in behavioral science or related field from an accredited institution is required.
  • Applicants must hold full, unrestricted licensure in the State of Michigan.
  • Proven experience in creating and implementing treatment plans, as well as maintaining detailed clinical documentation including case notes and diagnostic updates.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills that support therapeutic effectiveness, collaboration, and client trust.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and uphold stable, ethical boundaries with clients in a clinical setting.
  • Consistently completes session records, service notes, and required documentation promptly and in alignment with agency guidelines.
  • Comfortable and confident working with a diverse population across age groups, backgrounds, and presenting issues.
  • Proficient in day-to-day office tools and electronic health records (EHR); experience with Valant is a plus!

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in a private practice setting equips candidates to thrive in our collaborative, client-centered clinic environment.
  • Background in providing clinical supervision or mentoring to early-career clinicians.
  • Working knowledge of therapy services, community support systems, insurance billing processes, and effective documentation practices along with an established referral network.
  • Fully licensed clinicians who are credentialed with multiple insurance panels and EAPs.
  • Experience leveraging social media and community marketing.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive mental health intakes, develop customized treatment plans, and complete timely documentation including diagnoses, plan updates, and session notes in alignment with company standards.
  • Maintain a minimum of 25 direct client facing hours per week as a full-time clinician, with an initial scheduling availability of 35 hours per week to support steady caseload growth.
  • Provide supervision to Limited Licensed clinicians through clinical consultation, mentorship, and ongoing support to foster their professional growth and success.
  • Offer exceptional service to clients while collaborating with a passionate, purpose-driven team dedicated to closing care gaps in our community.
  • Bring creativity to your interventions, empowering clients to achieve (and often surpass) their therapeutic goals.
  • Submit clear, concise documentation for every session following our protocols because great care deserves great records.
  • Partner with families, case managers, schools, medical professionals, and fellow Ellie teammates to provide comprehensive, coordinated care.
  • Engage fully in team meetings, clinical trainings, and ongoing opportunities to learn, grow, and contribute to our shared mission.
  • Tackle those small-but-mighty responsibilities that don’t always make it into bullet points, but absolutely matter in creating a supportive, thriving clinic culture.
