About The Position

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at North Texas Job Corps Center plays a crucial role in supporting the Health and Wellness Manager by planning, implementing, and evaluating wellness programs tailored to the needs of students. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) and diploma from an accredited Practical Nursing Program.
  • Current LPN License from the State.
  • Current BLS/CPR Certification.
  • Valid State Driver's License.
  • One year of related experience and/or training is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel.
  • Basic computer literacy including email and internet usage.

Responsibilities

  • Assist the Health and Wellness Manager in planning and implementing wellness programs.
  • Ensure doctor's orders are followed in the Wellness Center and provide care as prescribed.
  • Maintain charts and compile medical and dental records for terminated students.
  • Notify residential personnel of released patients and maintain records of admissions and dismissals.
  • Compile various logs, records, and reports related to wellness use and medication.
  • Dispense prescribed medication and assist with examinations and wellness care.
  • Serve as on-call nurse as scheduled and ensure performance management standards are met.
  • Maintain a clean and safe health facility and monitor service quality.
