About The Position

Maintains safe and secure environment for customers and employees by patrolling and monitoring premises and personnel. Requirements

• High school diploma.
• 2 years’ experience as a security officer or law enforcement officer
• Knowledge of security procedures
• Ability to work effectively under stressful conditions
• Ability to establish and maintain courteous and effective working relationships with others
• Communicate clearly and concisely both orally and in writing for the purpose of obtaining and disseminating information
• Exercise diplomacy when dealing with people in sensitive situations
• Apply active listening techniques in order to obtain complete and accurate information
• Function effectively as a member of a team
• Apply the principles of supervision to direct the work activities of subordinates
• Rapidly prioritize a variety of tasks and take appropriate action
• Must have sufficient computer knowledge to perform clerical tasks and prepare daily reports
• Ability to apply first responder techniques in performing emergency first aid and CPR
• May be required to work irregular hours, holidays, weekends and overtime.
• May be required to walk or stand for extended periods of time

Responsibilities

• Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property, monitoring surveillance equipment, inspecting buildings, equipment and access points.
• Writes reports of daily activities and irregularities such as property damage, theft, presence of unauthorized persons or unusual occurrences.
• Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences and surveillance activities.
• Monitor and authorize entrance and departure of employees, visitors and other persons to guard against theft and maintain security of premises.
• Call police or fire departments in cases of emergency, such as fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Respond to alarm company off hours calls.
