About The Position

The Department of Political Science is seeking applicants for the part-time job of Loyle Sanchez Part Time Research Assistant. Job duties include contacting international and Colombian organizations active in the peacebuilding aid networks collected in a previous data effort. The RAs will be contacting organizations located at the end of the reported chain of aid delivery to gather information on a) the locations of the project implementation sites, b) any additional organizations in the chain of aid delivery (final recipients) not captured in the reported data, and c) characteristics of the relationship between organizations (e.g. the degree of involvement of local partners). The appointment is expected to start January 2026 and end before the end of the Spring 2026 semester.

Requirements

• Contextual knowledge of the aid system in Colombia.
• Understanding of research design principles.

Responsibilities

• Contact international and Colombian organizations active in peacebuilding aid networks.
• Gather information on project implementation site locations.
• Identify additional organizations in the aid delivery chain not captured in previous data.
• Assess characteristics of relationships between organizations.

Benefits

• Compensation at a starting rate of $15.00/hour.
• Part-time position at 10 hours/week for about 80 hours total.
