Help students in the Elementary and Preschool, in the absence of the Primary Teacher, learn attitudes, skills, and subject matter that will contribute to their development as mature, able, and responsible Christians, to the praise and glory of God, in keeping with the Mission Statement of Indian Rocks Christian School. Essential Functions: Reflect the school's purpose: Honor Christ in every class and activity. Motivate students to accept God's gift of salvation and help them grow in their faith. Lead students to a realization of their self-worth in Christ. Cooperate with Indian Rocks Christian School and Indian Rocks Baptist Church Administration in implementing all policies, procedures, and directives governing the school's operation. Implement lesson plans and instructions left by the absent teacher or Administration to ensure the continuity of the curriculum. Integrate Biblical principles and the Christian Philosophy of Education throughout the activities. Maintain proper discipline in the classroom and school premises for an orderly learning environment. Ensure the Safety and security of students at all times. Work cooperatively and effectively with the grade level team members. Leave a detailed report for the regular teacher regarding the day’s activities, student behavior, and any issues that arose. Incorporate various instructional strategies that will provide creative teaching to reach the whole child: spiritual, mental, physical, social, and emotional. Follow Biblical principles in dealing with students, parents, staff, and Administration in a positive Christian/Biblical manner, including all conflict resolution matters following the proper line of authority.
