About The Position

The Out-of-Door Academy seeks a Lower School Part-Time STEM Educator to join our Clark Road Campus and contribute to a forward-thinking school dedicated to creativity, real-world application, and student-centered learning.

Requirements

Bachelor’s Degree in elementary education required; Master's Degree preferred.
Strong knowledge of environmental science and ecosystems.
Experience with STEM instruction and inquiry-based learning.
Ability to engage students through hands-on, real-world learning.
Strong organization and classroom management skills.
Passion for nature, science, and environmental education.
Proficient with Word, Excel, and the Google drive platform.
A successful track record of working effectively with a wide range of constituencies including students, faculty, staff and parents.

Responsibilities

Design and teach interdisciplinary STEM lessons focused on environmental sciences and ecological systems, including marine science.
Lead hands-on labs, engineering challenges, and outdoor investigations.
Guide students in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting scientific data.
Incorporate technology and digital tools to support research and learning.
Support project-based learning and inquiry-driven instruction.
Promote environmental awareness, sustainability, and conservation.
Collaborate with educators to integrate environmental STEM across the curriculum.
Maintain safe and organized learning spaces, including outdoor and lab environments.
