About The Position

The Leffell Lower School is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Kindergarten General Studies Teacher. The ideal candidate is passionate about teaching, understands the developmental needs of young elementary students, and brings creativity and structure to the classroom.

Requirements

• Master’s degree in Early Education.
• Prior experience teaching Kindergarten.
• Strong classroom management and organizational skills.
• Commitment to fostering a nurturing and academically challenging classroom environment.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement engaging lessons using the centers model in English Language Arts, Math, Social Studies, and Science, aligned with curriculum standards.
• Maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports student growth and learning.
• Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of all students.
• Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, students, and school leadership.
• Collaborate with grade-level and subject-area colleagues to ensure consistency and alignment.
• Assess student progress and maintain accurate records.
• Participate in school meetings, duties, and professional responsibilities as needed.
