About The Position

Our Lower School teachers will be responsible for teaching a class of 12-16 students. Our teachers are excited to prepare and deliver engaging learning experiences aligned with the WCS scope and sequence that spark curiosity in our students. Our teachers place students at the center of all teaching and learning to ensure the best educational experience for each student. They hold high expectations for academic growth, character, and citizenship, while also leading with a high nurture approach that ensures every child feels known, supported, and cared for. They are willing to support WCS beyond the classroom with their time and talents to expand the student experience. Their curiosity for learning drives a commitment to professional growth, and they actively participate in school-led professional development activities (including faculty meetings). Collegiate educators share a commitment to doing whatever tasks are necessary to enhance the student experience. Our teachers come from diverse backgrounds but share a commitment to delivering high-quality instruction to students. Our Lower School teacher will have a bachelor's degree in elementary education. Three years of classroom experience is preferred; advanced education or relevant professional experience may substitute for classroom experience. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in elementary education
