About Francis Parker School: Francis Parker School (Parker) is a co-educational, independent day school in San Diego, California, serving 1,330 students from Junior Kindergarten through Grade 12. Job Description: This opening is Full-time (40 hours per week), Monday - Friday (7:45 am - 4:15 pm) for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. The School is seeking an Associate Teacher with experience working in elementary classrooms. Instructional responsibilities will involve contributing to and teaching lessons, working closely with a classroom teacher and grade level team to coordinate curriculum and instruction, and communicating closely and effectively within the school community. In addition to their teaching responsibilities, Associate Teachers provide supervision for carline, lunch duty, and recess. This position is for the remainder of the 2025-2026 school year. Employees will have the opportunity to reapply each year.
Requirements
- Applicants should have a bachelor's degree
- Prior experience working with K-5 children is essential
- The successful applicant will be computer literate
- Possess excellent writing skills
- Take initiative
- Be willing to work as a collaborative team member
- Have an abiding interest in helping young people experience success in school
Nice To Haves
- A teaching credential is desirable
- An understanding of Singapore Math and Foundations is also desirable
