About The Position

The Lower School 4th Grade Teacher at Prestonwood Christian Academy is responsible for fostering a Christ-centered educational environment that promotes academic excellence and spiritual growth among students. The teacher will implement curriculum guidelines, assess student learning, and maintain effective communication with parents, all while embodying the values of the institution.

Requirements

• Teachers Certification in area of assignments.
• Bachelor's degree in education and/or equivalent required subject hours.
• Strong Christian testimony and acceptance of PCA doctrinal beliefs.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to school systems effectiveness by identifying and addressing short-term and long-range issues.
• Establish and adjust course outlines and objectives according to curriculum guidelines and school goals.
• Convey information to students using language concepts, examples, demonstrations, and teaching aids, integrating technology where appropriate.
• Schedule and assign instructional activities, following up on results to ensure educational requirements are met.
• Assess student learning through tests, assignments, and classroom projects, providing feedback and support.
• Maintain records of student learning accomplishments, attendance, and behavior.
• Guide students' personal and social development by establishing classroom rules and procedures.
• Assist parents by providing academic information and addressing their concerns.
• Maintain professional knowledge by attending workshops and participating in professional societies.
• Ensure a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures and regulations.
