As a Lower Elementary Lead Teacher , you will: Create & Maintain an Authentic Montessori Classroom – Guide students using hands-on, individualized instruction tailored to their development. Support Every Learner – Observe and assess progress, fostering academic and personal growth. Cultivate a Respectful & Engaging Environment – Build an inclusive classroom where independence and collaboration thrive. Partner with Families – Maintain open communication and build strong home-school relationships. Collaborate with a Supportive Team – Work alongside assistant teachers, specialists, and administrators to ensure student success. Grow as an Educator – Participate in professional development, school events, and Montessori training.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • North Carolina Teaching License (or eligibility to obtain one).
  • Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, student-centered approach.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

Nice To Haves

  • AMS or AMI Montessori Certification in Lower Elementary (6-9).
  • Minimum of two years of Montessori teaching experience .
  • Experience in a public or charter Montessori school .
  • Familiarity with Multi-Tiered Systems of Support (MTSS) and differentiated instruction.
