About The Position

Berkeley Preparatory School is seeking a full-time Pre-Kindergarten teacher for the 2026-2027 school year. The Pre-Kindergarten teacher will work collaboratively with a full-time instructional assistant to plan the instructional program and teach lessons to whole and small groups that are both age-appropriate and address individual student needs. Qualified candidates will possess 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field. A Master’s degree is preferred. Experience with the Workshop model, Shared Reading and Writing, Orton-Gillingham, and Singapore Math is beneficial. A good sense of humor, a positive outlook, and an appreciation of the unique qualities of the age group are essential. Candidates must show a strong willingness to receive feedback regularly, grow professionally, significantly contribute to the life of the school, and will be eager to work in a culturally and ethnically diverse environment.

Requirements

• 3-5 years of experience in classroom teaching
