About The Position

The Low Voltage Technician is responsible for the onsite installation of nurse call, security, and fire life safety systems within healthcare facilities. This role actively participates in the overall installation of projects as directed by Healthcare leadership and management. The Low Voltage Technician is a vital component of each project, performing the installation of devices, running wiring, and completing basic construction tasks to ensure the successful completion of client projects. The role is expected to demonstrate an understanding of electrical regulations, construction requirements, material and device functions, as well as industry standards. Requirements

  • 0-2 years in construction and/or low voltage installation
  • High school diploma (or equivalent)
  • Valid California Driver License and proof of auto insurance.
  • Must be able to work weekends, nights, split shifts, and rotating shifts (if needed).

Responsibilities

  • Perform demolition and construction rough-ins
  • Pull wire and stage materials for installation
  • Assist with project preparation and clean up
  • Support installation activities under direction of Lead/Foreman
  • Maintain good housekeeping on the project site by keeping the work area clean and organized
  • Follow instructions from the Lead/Foreman to ensure successful installation of project components
  • Adhere to all workplace safety expectations, regulations, and standards
  • Interpret drawings and identify best methods for project completion
  • Demonstrate knowledge of security, nurse call, and fire life safety systems, including but not limited to EST3, Lenel, and Ascom
  • Operate basic hand tools safely and effectively
  • Maintain punctuality and regular attendance
