About The Position

We’re seeking a skilled and motivated Data Center Technician with experience in network cabling, low-voltage systems, and hardware deployment. This role is ideal for candidates experienced in fiber and copper installations, structured cabling, and hands-on support of network infrastructure. You’ll play a key role in maintaining the backbone of our data center operations—ensuring connectivity, uptime, and physical layer integrity across all systems.

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in IT, Networking, or related field (or equivalent hands-on experience)
• Experience with low-voltage cabling, including fiber and copper installations
• Familiarity with structured cabling standards (TIA/EIA), patch panels, and punch-down blocks
• Basic understanding of IP networking, VLANs, and physical network design
• Strong attention to detail and ability to follow technical diagrams and layouts
• Comfortable working in fast-paced environments with physical demands

Nice To Haves

• Certifications such as CompTIA Network+, BICSI, or Fiber Optic Technician are a plus

Responsibilities

• Install, terminate, and test fiber optic and copper cabling for network infrastructure
• Deploy and maintain network switches, routers, firewalls, and related hardware
• Perform rack and stack duties including mounting equipment, labeling, and cable management
• Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on cabling and network gear
• Assist with network troubleshooting and physical layer diagnostics
• Maintain documentation of cabling layouts, port assignments, and hardware configurations
• Ensure compliance with low-voltage standards and data center security protocols
• Collaborate with IT and network engineering teams to support infrastructure upgrades and expansions
