About The Position

Design Supervisor, Low Voltage Power Supply Core Team & Technical Leadership: Guide and mentor a team of engineers through the complete lifecycle of low-voltage power supply module hardware, from initial design to final implementation. Program Execution & Quality Assurance: Drive rigorous program execution, ensuring adherence to established processes, comprehensive sign-offs, and meticulous documentation to meet all quality and functional requirements. Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify and address complex technical issues, leading root cause analysis, defining effective corrective actions, and overseeing their implementation. You will leverage quality tools such as Global 8D problem solving to communicate status and drive resolutions. Stakeholder Alignment: Facilitate critical trade-off discussions with key stakeholders, ensuring robust engineering reviews and decision forums lead to clear alignment and optimal outcomes. Supplier & Architecture Interface: Serve as the primary liaison between the module suppliers and the vehicle architecture team, fostering strong collaboration. Supplier Requirement Management: Partner with suppliers to establish and ensure robust, consistent sign-off processes for all technical requirements. Component Quality Ownership: Take full ownership of component quality across the entire product lifecycle, spanning forward models, current production, and past models. Industrialization & Launch Management: Lead the industrialization and successful launch of low-voltage power supply module hardware, aggressively managing change requests and durability failure issues with an unwavering commitment to a zero-defect mentality. Financial Planning Input: Review annual Financial Planning volumes to assess and incorporate changes in planning assumptions for all low-voltage power supply hardware. Efficiency & Value Engineering: Spearhead design efficiency and Total Value Management (TVM) studies for targeted programs and components, driving cost optimization and performance enhancements. Established and active employee resource groups

Requirements

  • A Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field.
  • Extensive experience and deep knowledge of electrical modules, PCB/circuit design.
  • Demonstrated success in leading electrical modules through the launch process to production, coupled with the ability to communicate effectively in high-pressure situations.
  • 5+ years of experience delivering electrical modules to production.
  • 5+ years of experience in component design and release.
  • Proven cross-functional leadership capabilities, strong communication skills, and the ability to effectively interface with senior leadership.
  • A self-motivated approach with the ability to define strategic plans and proficiently manage multiple complex tasks simultaneously.
  • A strong cost and quality mindset, applied to both process optimization and product delivery.

Nice To Haves

  • A Master's of Science in Engineering.
  • Experience with Vehicle Program execution and delivery.
  • Knowledge and practical experience with Lithium-ion and Sodium-ion battery technology.
  • 5+ years experience in advanced research and development.
