About The Position

Coranet is seeking a Florida-based Low Voltage Operations & Project Manager (Div 27/28) located in South Florida / Fort Lauderdale. Reporting to Coranet's Director of Critical Territories, this role owns the execution and operational performance of Coranet's projects across Florida, with a strong emphasis on ground-up new construction and major renovation builds in multifamily, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, retail, and office environments. This position is responsible for end-to-end delivery of low-voltage scope, including structured cabling (copper/fiber), pathways and spaces (IDF/MDF), wireless infrastructure, audio-visual systems, access control, video surveillance, and related integrations, while managing internal field teams, subcontractors, schedules, customer satisfaction, and job profitability. The Florida Operations & Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for GCs, owners/clients, consultants, and other project stakeholders once a project begins, ensuring smooth coordination from kickoff through closeout and turnover. This is a fast-paced, high-ownership role requiring strong construction leadership, attention to detail, and the ability to communicate quickly and effectively via email, text, phone, and in person. The ideal candidate is comfortable with budgeting, forecasting, and margin management and thrives in a growth-oriented environment with autonomy and accountability.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred (or equivalent relevant field experience).
  • 6+ years (or 4+ years with strong new construction leadership) in low-voltage construction operations and/or project management with hands-on experience delivering Div 27/28 scope.
  • Proven track record managing multiple projects simultaneously, including large-scale ground-up builds and major renovations.
  • Strong technical understanding of: Structured cabling (Cat6/Cat6A and fiber optics), pathways, risers, IDF/MDF buildouts, and telecom rooms Wireless infrastructure (WAP layouts/rough-in support), AV infrastructure, access control, and video surveillance systems
  • Ability to interpret construction documents, blueprints, and technical drawings; electrical background is a plus.
  • Strong leadership, organization, and communication skills; able to coordinate effectively with internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Strong budgeting and analytical skills; comfortable working in Excel and with financial/job cost metrics.
  • Experience with common construction/project tools (e.g., Procore or similar platforms, Bluebeam) preferred.
  • Ability to travel to customer sites across Florida as needed.
  • Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

  • Manage ground-up and major renovation builds across multifamily, hospitality, industrial, retail, and office in Florida.
  • Deep ownership of Div 27/28 scope : pathways/spaces (IDF/MDF), copper/fiber, wireless, AV, access control, video, intercom and related integrations.
  • Lead schedule coordination with GCs, consultants, owners/PMs, and other trades to hit rough-in, trim, and closeout milestones.
  • Drive job profitability through labor planning, production tracking, change management, and clean project closeout.
  • Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all Florida and Southeast Div 27/28 construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within scope and budget.
  • Monitor field utilization and capacity - ensure that lead foremen and technicians are working at full capacity and are planning for future growth.
  • Manage subcontractor relationships, including the selection, negotiation, and performance evaluation.
  • Conduct project kickoff meetings with Sales, Design, and Engineering to gain the overall project vision, identify potential hurdles, and define the project schedule.
  • Plan, schedule and conduct project walk-throughs with appropriate employees, partners, general contractors, and clients.
  • Review and evaluate shop drawings and product submittals.
  • Understand copper and fiber optic infrastructure, including pathways, riser spaces, IDF/MDFs, and data centers.
  • Manage and communicate project milestones, plans, budget, margins, and resource/cost analysis (labor hours, materials, and equipment costs)
  • Work with field workers to ensure all equipment and materials are ordered, received, logged, and staged for project kickoff.
  • Manage change order requests from the client.
  • Coordinate with the appropriate sales and engineering resources for pricing and client acceptance as required.
  • Send Daily and Weekly updates to the client on project status, scheduling, and open issues as required for the project size.
  • Conduct regular reviews and audits of systems and processes within the Florida market to identify areas for enhancement or upgrade.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to align operations with business objectives and satisfy customers.
