Requirements

  • High School Degree, Vocational School or equivalent is required.
  • 0 to 2 years of experience in the physical security, fire alarm, or low voltage communication industry.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with both internal and external customers.
  • Strong troubleshooting skills and mechanical aptitude.
  • Detail-oriented and organized with the ability to meet deadlines.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a clean driving record.
  • Ability to obtain proper state licensing once hired.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience as an electronics technician or aviation technician (especially for military veterans).

Responsibilities

  • Perform installations of electronic control systems including door access control, CCTV, intrusion detection, and fire alarm systems.
  • Run electrical wiring in crawl spaces, including drilling, trenching, and aerial runs.
  • Connect field devices and ensure proper wire concealment.
  • Complete all wiring, connections, and equipment installations under the direction of a more experienced technician or project manager.
  • Test new system installations to ensure functionality and compliance with local, state, and federal codes.
  • Complete miscellaneous tasks as assigned, such as job-site clean-up.
  • Be available for overnight travel as needed.
