About The Position

Our Employee-Owned Low Voltage Systems Division is seeking low voltage apprentices in the Jacksonville FL area. We are seeking technicians who excel at using communication, technical knowledge, and problem-solving skills to deliver the highest level of customer service. Positions are regular, full-time and benefits eligible. Pay range depending on experience, skills, and knowledge.

Requirements

• Minimum age of 18.
• Provide I-9 documents to establish work eligibility.
• Evidence of High School Diploma or GED; high school transcript, if necessary.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• DD 214 (if veteran).
• Must be able to successfully pass a drug test, physical and background check.
• Good Color Acuity (determine wire colors).
• Able to work at least 40 hour weeks and overtime and night shift, as needed.
• Lift at least 50 pounds.
• Constant moving on your feet.
• Climb ladders of all types.

Responsibilities

• Inspect work areas and complete Job Hazard Analysis prior to starting any work.
• Review and process work and plan ahead, coordinate equipment, supplies, tools, manage schedule/scheduling impacts.
• Install equipment, install cable while adhering to codes, regulations, and standards.
• Troubleshoot technical issues to quick resolutions.
• Complete post installation paperwork and coordinate with supervisor for inspections.
• Ensure First Class customer service is provided for superior customer satisfaction.
• Know industry standards/color codes/cable & testing.
