The Prevention of Blindness Society of Metropolitan Washington (POB) is a 501c3 nonprofit organization dedicated to the improvement and preservation of sight by providing services, education, advocacy, and innovation. POB programs address vision health equity in the D.C. Metropolitan community. Job Summary: Are you a compassionate and driven individual with a passion for connecting people with life-changing resources? Do you thrive in a dynamic role where you empower clients to overcome challenges and achieve their goals? POB is seeking a dedicated part-time Low Vision Resource Navigator to join our team and become a vital lifeline for our community. In this role, you will be the bridge between our clients and the essential services they need to thrive. You will introduce persons with vision loss on basic adaptations, devices, and aids, and provides optimism about the vision loss journey. If you are a natural problem-solver who believes in the power of advocacy, interested in giving back to make a meaningful difference for persons with vision loss, and want to build on skills developed through your learned experiences in our new program area, Seeing Hope, we want to hear from you.
