About The Position

FRANKENMUTH BAVARIAN INN LODGE is an EEO Employer - M/F/Disability/Protected Veteran Status Hours: Part-Time, Friday, Saturday and Sundays only. 8 - 24 hours per week. Must be available to work weekends, holidays, days and evenings. Responsible for seating guests and documenting guest covers according to procedures. Accountable for directing Oma’s, Dining Room, and Lounge personnel; assures that ideal dining environment is maintained. Ensures the wait staff is providing proper service. Talks to the guest when time permits; promotes menus and specials. Assures proper and efficient setup and teardown of dining area; assures clean, organized, and sanitary working conditions and products. Takes reservations for Oma’s Restaurant and logs them in reservation book. Also can oversee Brunch and handle reservations on special holidays. Helps to control labor expenses and overtime by keeping staff productive. Performs take out and room service orders. Able to work as a server when needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Pleasing personality, well-groomed and neat appearance.
  • Ability to resolve service problems on one's own initiative.
  • Knowledge of the area, local attractions, and the history of the town and the restaurant.
  • Smiles
  • Able to stand all day and lift trays to carry to the Kitchen
  • Able to give direction to staff
  • Able to work with money to server bank
