About The Position

The Lounge Host Hostess for the brand-new center bar and lounge, Octavia, at Caesars New Orleans Casino provides a welcoming, friendly and extraordinary service to every guest who approaches the bar.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years or older to work in the casino.
• High volume fine dining or lounge experience preferred.
• Reservation system knowledge recommended.
• Understands variance policy of cash drawer and maintains low variance.
• 1-year experience in customer service at a high volume and/or fine dining operation.
• Must possess basic math skills.
• Must be able to count cash drawer accurately.
• Must possess excellent customer service/communication skills.
• Available to work required schedule which may include nights, weekends and holidays as needed.
• Must be able to maintain a neat, professional, well-groomed appearance and uphold company appearance/dress standards.

Responsibilities

• Conducts assigned duties according to procedures.
• Greets guests quickly and courteously.
• Seats guests promptly and with a smile.
• Able to sell guests on all seating areas of the restaurant (i.e. bar and patio).
• Be aware of table status and control seating times.
• Helps service guests as necessary in a team aspect (May include but not limited to: bussing tables, taking drink orders, rolling silverware, etc.).
• Knows how to ring up all transactions and all tenders.
• Assists the Service Attendants/Counter Attendants/Culinary areas when needed.
• Handles and solves any concerns and questions from customers.
• Keeps all guest areas clean and neat.
• Complies with all appearance standards.
• Enters guests' merchandise in register, takes money from customer and accurately gives back change.
• Responsible for accurate control of cash drawer.
• Operates cash register and properly settles merchandise purchase.
• Itemizes totals and presents guests with the price for payment.
• Acts as a role model to other employees and always presents oneself as a credit to Caesars Entertainment and encourages others to do the same.
• Meets the attendance guidelines of the job and adheres to regulatory, departmental and company policies.
