About The Position

Cocktail Server – Rooftop Bar / Lounge Position Summary The Cocktail Server provides exceptional beverage and light fare service to guests in the rooftop bar and lounge, delivering a luxury hospitality experience consistent with the hotel’s brand standards. The role requires strong knowledge of premium spirits, craft cocktails, and refined guest service etiquette.

Requirements

  • 1–2+ years cocktail serving or upscale bar/lounge experience
  • Exceptional guest service and communication
  • Knowledge of cocktails, spirits, and wine
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Professional appearance and grooming standards
  • Strong sales and upselling ability
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Carry trays and lift up to 20–40 lbs
  • Work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Nice To Haves

  • Luxury hotel or high-volume cocktail environment preferred

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests warmly and escort or seat them when appropriate
  • Present cocktail menus and describe signature drinks, wine, champagne, and specialty offerings
  • Take beverage and light food orders accurately and efficiently
  • Deliver drinks and food promptly while maintaining elegant service presentation
  • Anticipate guest needs and provide attentive, personalized service throughout their visit
  • Maintain strong knowledge of: Premium spirits Craft cocktails Champagne and wine Bottle service options
  • Make recommendations based on guest preferences and upsell premium selections
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of tables and lounge seating
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and respond quickly to requests
  • Reset tables and maintain the appearance of the rooftop lounge environment
  • Enter orders and process payments through POS systems
  • Handle guest checks and payment transactions accurately
  • Perform opening and closing side work such as: Restocking service stations Polishing glassware Preparing garnishes Cleaning service areas
  • Work closely with bartenders, barbacks, and managers
  • Attend pre-shift meetings for menu updates and service notes
  • Follow all responsible alcohol service laws and hotel policies
