About The Position

The individual in this position will work independently in a specified route, providing in-person customer service, guidance, and direction to Lottery retailers to ensure they receive the full benefits of selling Lottery tickets. Requirements

• Requires knowledge, skill, and mental development equivalent to completion of four years of college with courses in Marketing, Public Relations or Business Administration.
• Requires two (2) years progressively responsible experience in marketing, sales, or a promotional field.
• Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal history.
• Requires the ability to travel in the performance of duties.
• Requires possession of an appropriate valid driver’s license and automobile insurance.
• Requires the ability to utilize agency issued equipment, i.e. cell phone and tablet.
• Must live within 25 miles of Augusta, Pleasant Hill, Carrollton, Chandlerville, Jacksonville, Rockbridge, Warsaw, and Quincy areas.

Responsibilities

• Distributes Lottery promotional materials to Lottery retailers in Territory 501, which encompasses Augusta, Pleasant Hill, Carrollton, Chandlerville, Jacksonville, Rockbridge, Warsaw, and Quincy areas.
• Evaluates performance of licensed retailers to ascertain compliance with Department policies and procedures.
• Reports all sales activities and plans to supervisor and Private Manager.
• Provides assistance to retailers regarding installation and upkeep of Lottery equipment and products.
• Attends staff meetings to keep apprised of new developments and sales promotions.
• Assists in calling on potential new retailers in their territory that have been identified by Lotterymanagement.
• Performs other duties as required or assigned which are reasonable within the scope of dutiesenumerated above.
