About The Position

The Lot Operations Specialist II at Cox Automotive is responsible for orienting and instructing new drivers, managing the flow of vehicles, and ensuring timely transportation of employees and vehicles. This role involves daily maintenance of transport vehicles, enforcing safety procedures, and leading a team to ensure efficient operations. The position requires effective communication with supervisors and team members to maintain operational efficiency and uphold company values.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED and 3 years' experience in a related field.
  • Alternatively, any level degree/certification beyond a HS diploma/GED in a related discipline or 5 years' experience in a related discipline.
  • Valid driver's license required.

Responsibilities

  • Orient and instruct new drivers regarding their job duties.
  • Assist supervisor in assigning and directing the work of employees.
  • Communicate with supervisor or manager to assure proper flow of vehicles.
  • Maintain log of stock numbers for each vehicle moved and its lot location.
  • Manage vans and transport drivers to locations.
  • Ensure timely pick-up and drop-off of employees and vehicles.
  • Shuttle employees to and from auxiliary parking lots on sale days.
  • Perform daily maintenance and routine checks of the van.
  • Visibly demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures.
  • Work in cooperation with Market Safety Manager in support of all safety activities.
  • Review work volumes and monitor staffing levels for efficiency.
  • Lead the team by setting an example in behavior and championing company values.
  • Enforce all company policies and procedures related to employee and customer conduct.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.
