About The Position

The Lot Driver at ADESA is responsible for operating motor vehicles for transport, pickup, and delivery in support of auction activities. This role involves safely moving, staging, and parking vehicles to facilitate the flow of vehicles during car auctions. The position requires adherence to driving rules and a commitment to customer service, ensuring that vehicles are handled with care and efficiency.

Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
• Must possess a valid driver's license and have a clean driving record.
• Basic computer skills are required.
• Ability to work outdoors under any type of weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Drive vehicles to and from designated areas, as well as pick up and deliver vehicles while observing auction driving rules.
• Safely move, stage, and park vehicles in the correct lot area to support the flow of vehicles for the car auction.
• Verify VIN of cars being picked up and delivered against transportation requests.
• Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed by the Lot Manager, Team Leader, or designated supervisor.
• Perform walk-around inspections of each vehicle prior to moving and note any damage.
• Assist customers such as dealers, account reps, and co-workers as needed.
• Inflate tires and jump-start vehicles using a battery box and air tank when necessary.
• Fill the gas tank when the vehicle is out of gas.
