Holman Automotive has an outstanding opportunity for a Lot Attendant/Shop Assistant to join their team at their Reconditioning Center in San Diego ! What will you do? The Lot Attendant/Shop Assistant is responsible for helping all Technicians and Internal Advisors in the Reconditioning Center. Moving and monitoring the location of all vehicles under the Reconditioning Center’s care is a primary responsibility of this role. The Lot Attendant/Shop Assistant provides support to the department by driving vehicles both on-site and on public roadways. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, ensuring all vehicle pathways are unobstructed at the Recon Center.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma and one year of related sales experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Exceptional communication skills.
  • Current, valid driver’s license.
  • Clean driving record, no blemishes.
  • Ability to work retail hours.
  • Ability to operate a vehicle equipped with a manual transmission.

Responsibilities

  • Maintaining vehicle storage lots in a presentable, well organized, clean manner.
  • Moving and relocating cars and ensuring that all vehicles contain sufficient fuel for testing and diagnosis.
  • Maintaining cleanliness of Reconditioning Center driving pathways and keeping the pathways always clear of vehicles.
  • Moving vehicles in and out of technician stalls with care.
  • Delivering vehicles to, and retrieving vehicles from, off-site maintenance.
  • Driving vehicles in the reconditioning process on public roads for quality testing.
  • Diligently ensuring proper key control practices and organization.
  • Running parts as needed
  • Emptying drains as needed
  • Ensure proper waste disposal processes and procedures are adhered to.
