About The Position

The Home Depot is seeking a Lot Associate who is passionate about helping customers and guiding them to the right solutions for their projects. The Lot Associate's primary responsibilities include loading orders into customer vehicles and ensuring the parking lot remains safe and welcoming. Customer service, particularly following Home Depot’s GET Model (Greeting, Engaging, Thanking), is a vital aspect of this position, as the Lot Associate is often the first and last point of contact for customers.

Responsibilities

• Ensures Customer Satisfaction Following Home Depot’s GET Model of customer service including Greeting, Engaging, and Thanking the customer.
• Maintain a sufficient quantity of carts near the entrance of the store.
• When required, ask open ended questions about the customer’s projects in order to determine their needs and level of expertise.
• Approach customers to determine if they need help loading product into vehicles and/or shopping carts.
• Plan the best method of loading and securing merchandise in customer’s vehicle as per Safe Loading Training.
• Maintains Safety and Security
• Ensure that all exits/loading areas are not blocked or cluttered; sweep and clean debris off front apron and lumber loading pad.
• Follows all Safety and Loss Prevention policies and procedures.
• Using appropriate safety procedures with all equipment.
