About The Position

The Loss Prevention Officer at Ace Hardware Corporation is responsible for overseeing safety and security within the facility. This role involves monitoring employee activities, conducting safety audits, and ensuring a safe working environment. The officer will also engage in training other employees and maintaining cleanliness in the workplace, all while promoting a culture of safety and compliance with company policies.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Ability and willingness to work non-traditional shifts and hours.
• Experience with CCTV preferred.
• Degree in Criminal Justice or 3-5 years of practical experience in Security, Loss Prevention, or Law Enforcement Field preferred.
• CPR/First Aid Certified or able to obtain certification through company-provided training.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in a retail environment.
• Knowledge of safety regulations and compliance standards.

Responsibilities

• Oversees, observes, and supervises employees entering and exiting the building.
• Conducts safety, hazard, and security audits around the facility.
• Monitors the hazardous materials storeroom and cleans up spills.
• Supervises the disposition of damaged items and moves them to a safe location.
• Conducts general investigations, inventory counts, and cycle counts throughout the facility.
• Utilizes computers and office equipment for various tasks.
• Reads Standard Operating Procedures and monitors CCTV.
• Provides training to other employees on safety and security protocols.
• Performs housekeeping duties to maintain cleanliness in work areas.
