About The Position

The Loss Prevention - Front End Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining a safe and secure environment at Ross Stores. This position involves providing a visible presence at store entrances and exits to deter theft and fraud while ensuring excellent customer service. The associate will work closely with store leadership to implement loss prevention strategies and promote a culture of safety and respect among customers and associates.

Requirements

• High School education or equivalent required; AA degree preferred.
• One year of retail supervisor experience or similar training preferred.
• One year of loss prevention/security training preferred.
• Active Security Guard License preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to build relationships with the store team.
• Excellent customer service skills and proven conflict resolution abilities.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in retail loss prevention or security roles.
• Familiarity with loss prevention technologies and practices.

Responsibilities

• Provide a visible presence at store entrances/exits to deter theft and fraud.
• Greet customers in a friendly manner to enhance customer service and deter theft.
• Monitor the sales floor for potential theft indicators and report suspicious behavior.
• Assist store leadership in maintaining a safe and secure environment for associates and customers.
• Educate associates on loss prevention initiatives and proper checkout procedures.
• Remove clutter and ensure clear egress to emergency exits.
• Participate in internal and external partnerships to support loss prevention efforts.
