About The Position

The Loss Prevention Associate (LPA) at the Revivals stores is responsible for safeguarding the company's assets by implementing effective loss prevention strategies. This role involves monitoring and protecting inventory, ensuring a secure environment for both customers and employees, and minimizing financial losses through proactive measures.

Requirements

  • Basic working knowledge or retail policies and procedures is preferred
  • Willingness to work in other store locations when needed
  • Prior safety and security retail experience
  • Experience/knowledge of thrift in a retail environment preferred
  • Must have the ability to work well under pressure and exercise good judgment
  • Must have strong written and verbal communication skills as well as the ability to work well both independently and as a team
  • Basic working knowledge or retail policies and procedures is preferred
  • Requires current and valid driver’s license and current personal auto insurance
  • Able to travel to all Revivals locations throughout Coachella Valley
  • This job requires frequent times of sitting, standing, repetitive motion, walking and talking to customers and staff
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and move from place to place
  • Ensures compliance with policies and procedures related to safe work practices

Responsibilities

  • Patrolling store aisles and monitoring customers as well as safely monitoring potential shoplifters
  • Watching security camera footage and confronting individuals they suspect of theft
  • Monitor security systems such as alarms and review store cameras
  • Monitor retail employees and volunteers. Work with the Director of Retail Operations on any violation of policy, theft or fraud concerns when identifying potentially dishonest customers or staff.
  • Notify police where needed and work with the police department to resolve incidents of theft or other crimes related to Revivals retail stores
  • Walking the floor and reporting any safety issues including but not limited to ensuring aisles are clear and free from clutter, and merchandise is safely displayed
  • Monitor public areas for unusual activity and potential threats
  • Escort persons who have been banned from the store off store property and contact police if the situation becomes unmanageable
  • Document theft and other violations of security
  • Assist in promoting, monitoring and implementing compliance policies and procedures related to theft prevention, safety, and inventory control
  • Be aware of any safety concerns such as merchandise being displayed incorrectly that may cause an employee or customer accident while performing daily patrolling of the store and back warehouse areas
  • Report any safety and security concerns to the Director of Retail Operations
  • Conduct safety walks weekly in each store
  • Attend safety meetings that are held monthly by the store managers
  • Maintain a safe work environment at all times
  • May assist with after-hours alarm calls, if available
  • Make suggestions to support the safety and security compliance of volunteers and staff
  • Partner with Director of Retail Operations and reports weekly on store findings and areas that may need improved
  • Partner with store management to review security training in the stores
  • Help ensure compliance with aspects of OSHA requirements
  • Other duties as assigned
