Build your future with us The Loss Control Key Accounts Field Manager-Construction supports and leads a team of field-based Construction Service Consultants that supports our agency customers, commercial policyholders and internal customers in our Key Account Construction book. Responsibilities are focused on management and leadership of a team to attain department and corporate goals. This position will be remote and report to the Loss Control Director of Field Services. The pay range for this position is $110,000- $170,000 annually. Pay is based on the applicant’s education, experience, location, knowledge, skills and abilities. Eligible associates may also receive an annual cash bonus and stock incentives based on company and individual performance.

  • working knowledge of critical construction risk management principles and methods such as:
  • general building, heavy/highway, specialty trades and civil/marine construction operations and exposures
  • construction delivery systems, including design-bid-build, design/build, engineer procure construct (EPC), as well as joint ventures
  • construction processes, such as constructability, budget, scope, schedule, sequence and means/methods
  • strong background in General Liability exposures and necessary controls (QA/QC and CD prevention, Subcontractor Prequalification, Work Zone Liability, etc.)
  • contracts, subcontractor management, and contractual risk transfer techniques and methods
  • fleet, crane and heavy equipment operations and controls. Wrap-ups and Controlled Insurance Programs (both owner and contractor controlled)
  • ten or more years of risk control/loss prevention, construction safety, and/or risk management experience
  • a bachelor’s degree in engineering or related science, or a combination of undergraduate degree and related experience and training

Nice To Haves

  • An advanced degree is preferred
  • professional designations such as PE, CSP, CFPS, CIH, OHST, CHST, CPCU, ARM or CRM

Responsibilities

  • provide direct management and leadership to our Construction Service Consultants team as they conduct risk evaluations, formulate service plans, deliver service, hold stewardship meetings, and meet with agents and policyholders on our Key Account Construction accounts
  • provide management and oversight of our services to the Key Account Construction book
  • develop and maintain close partnerships with Key Accounts Underwriting and Key Accounts Leadership
  • work with the Construction Technical Specialist Manager to help drive construction services consultants’ professional and technical development and ensure department and company technical standards are met
  • work with department products and services manager to ensure proper vendor alliances and external resources are available to support the construction book of business
  • oversee and coordinate field book segmentation of Construction Key Accounts with field loss control
  • willingness to take on additional responsibilities potentially beyond current role
  • provide direct management and leadership through support and performance reviews for Construction Service Consultants
  • align Construction Service Consultant goals to facilitate the achievement of the unit’s goals and mission
  • coach and mentor Construction Service Consultants
  • develop and maintain positive relationships with our local independent agency partners and their clients
  • develop and maintain productive relationships with other departments
  • Support Sales and Key Accounts Underwriting in promoting Key Construction Loss Control Services
  • travel to meet job demands up to 30-50%25 depending on meeting, associate and customer needs
