About The Position

Requirements

  • Previous experience in a similar role or within the Architecture, Engineering, Contracting industry is preferred, but not required.
  • A degree in a related field is preferred, but not required.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with construction permitting processes is highly desirable.
  • Computer literate with the ability of learning different platforms and online portals.
  • Proficient in Google Suite products.
  • Problem-solving mindset and ability to handle multiple priorities under tight deadlines.
  • Ability to pass a federal background check.
  • Candidate must possess a valid CA driving license and a personal vehicle.

Responsibilities

  • Work effectively alongside the Project Management team in developing and maintaining project plans, schedules, and budgets.
  • Track project progress and update timelines as needed.
  • Support the preparation and submission of permitting applications and documentation.
  • Organize and maintain project files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
  • Schedule and coordinate meetings with regulatory agencies and internal teams.
  • Prepare meeting agendas, take minutes, and help identify action items.
  • Collaborate with local, state, and federal regulatory agencies to ensure compliance with all relevant codes and regulations, and obtain all required approvals and permits.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in construction permitting laws and requirements.
  • Execute a range of project activities and tasks, as delegated by the Project Management team, to ensure deliverables are provided on schedule.
  • Serve as a point of contact to regulatory officials and internal team members regarding project requirements and submittals.
  • Interface and communicate with regulatory agencies to submit and follow up on applications and address questions or concerns.
  • Facilitate clear and timely communication internally so that the Project Management team may communicate externally with project stakeholders and clients.
  • Ensure all project documents meet regulatory requirements and are submitted on time.
  • Maintain a clear understanding of local, state, and federal permitting processes and requirements through various jurisdictions throughout California.
  • Support the Project Management team in identifying and mitigating project risks.
