About The Position

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.

• Valid Driver's License.
• Heavy mechanical repair experience.
• Experience operating heavy equipment.

Nice To Haves

• Experience in Shielded Metal Arc Welding (SMAW) and/or Flux Core Arc Welding (FCAW).
• Welding certification.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain heavy equipment such as dump trucks, cranes, and coal pushers/dumpers.
• Ensure compliance with all railroad rules and regulations for safety and operations.
• Maintain mechanical parts of conveyors and bulk material handling equipment.
• Operate and maintain diesel pushers and electric/gas welding equipment.
• Fabricate, cut, shape, and perform finish operations using various materials.
• Perform periodic service on machinery and equipment.
• Operate car retarders and electrical switches.
• Conduct clean-up activities in the dock area and perform general laborer duties as assigned.
