About The Position
Ansonia Public Schools Long-term substitute special education teacher needed for Ansonia public schools This assignment will extend through extended school year summer programming. Connecticut teacher certification in special education required. Will consider candidates who are currently enrolled in a Special Education Teacher preparation program and are eligible for a Durational Shortage Area Permit (DSAP).
Requirements
- Demonstrates knowledge and application of the facilitation of reading, writing, and mathematics
- Demonstrates knowledge of standards-based instruction and reporting
- Establishes and maintains an environment conducive to learning with groups and individuals
- Assessment
- Demonstrates knowledge of and ability to use current and/or appropriate assessment instruments and practices
- Develops clear and specific written documentation of assessment results
- Participates in the on-going evaluation of students
- Maintains on-going assessment of learner progress through written documentation
- Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required
- CT certification
