About The Position

Key Responsibilities: Instruction: Teach grades 6-8 students in Religion integrating faith and Christian morals into the curriculum. Faith Formation: Incorporate Catholic teachings into daily lessons and classroom activities, guiding students in prayer and developing their relationship with Christ. Classroom Management: Create a positive, inclusive, and respectful classroom environment, maintaining discipline and fostering a love for learning. Collaboration: Work closely with other teachers, staff, and school leadership to implement school-wide initiatives and support students' academic and spiritual development. Parental Involvement: Maintain open communication with parents regarding student progress, concerns, and achievements, fostering a strong partnership between home and school. Professional Growth: Participate in ongoing professional development, staying current with educational trends, best practices, and Catholic education principles.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education or a related field
  • Strong commitment to Catholic education
  • Experience working with elementary-aged children, preferably in a Catholic school setting.
  • Ability to differentiate instruction to meet the needs of all students.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree preferred
  • Teaching certification (preferred) or a willingness to pursue certification.
