Long Term Substitute Special Education Teacher Windham SAU# 95 Windham, NH 2025-2026 School year Responsibilities : Provide case management, specialized instruction, and consultation services to children identified with educational disabilities. The successful candidate will serve as a consultant and provider of direct services to implement IEP goals and objectives for students with disabilities in a variety of settings. Maintain accurate and complete student records and prepare reports on students and activities as required by laws, district policies, and administrative regulations. Oversee the special education process and all paperwork for students (referral, evaluation, eligibility, IEP, progress, and re-evaluations). Collaborate with classroom teachers and monitor paraeducators to ensure compliance with IEPs and adherence to inclusive special education law. Conduct academic evaluations as well as classroom observations to develop reports as part of the evaluation process and IEP development. Act as a member of an interdisciplinary team when designing/delivering services to children with disabilities. Teach social-emotional skills, employing techniques such as behavior modification and positive reinforcement. Modify the general education curriculum for children with special needs based on a variety of instructional techniques and technologies. Work collaboratively with classroom teachers to implement IEP accommodations. Supervise and oversee 1:1 and shared paraeducators to ensure they deliver support aligned with IEP goals and objectives. Develop data tracking systems to monitor progress towards IEP goals & objectives. Promote parent/guardian involvement in their child’s educational program. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field. Valid New Hampshire Department of Education certification in Special Education required or ability to obtain NH DOE certification in General Special Education.
