Enfield Public Schools is seeking a passionate and dedicated Music Educator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be committed to fostering a love of music in students and promoting their musical growth and development.
Develop and implement a comprehensive music curriculum that aligns with state standards and district goals.
Create engaging lesson plans that incorporate best instructional practices, including differentiated instruction, collaborative learning, and technology integration.
Teach various aspects of music education, including vocal and instrumental music, music theory, and music history.
Foster a classroom environment that is welcoming, respectful, and supportive of all students, promoting equity and inclusion.
Assess and evaluate students' progress through formative and summative assessments, providing constructive feedback to support their musical growth.
Encourage students to explore their musical talents and express themselves creatively through performance and composition.
Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to support student learning and create opportunities for students to showcase their musical abilities.
Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current with best practices in music education.
Bachelor's degree in Music Education or a related field.
Valid Connecticut teaching certification in Music Education [Music, PK-12 (049)]
Experience teaching music at various grade levels.
Strong knowledge of child development and instructional strategies for music education.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to create a positive and inclusive classroom environment.
