About The Position

The Chelmsford Public Schools is now accepting applications for the anticipated vacancy of a Long-Term Substitute Grade 1 Teacher at Harrington Elementary School. The assignment is set to start immediately and will last until February 13, 2026, although these dates are subject to change. The role involves teaching students in academic, social, and manipulative skills within assigned subject areas, ensuring that student services align with the objectives established by the School Committee. The teacher will coordinate with specialists to provide additional services, confer with parents to enhance understanding of the pupil's environment, assist ancillary personnel, attend meetings, and maintain all related records and reports as required. Other duties may be assigned as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Teach students in academic, social, and manipulative skills.
• Work within assigned subject areas to provide optimum student services.
• Coordinate efforts with specialists to provide additional specific services.
• Confer with parents to promote better understanding of the pupil and his/her environment.
• Assist and guide ancillary personnel.
• Attend meetings and prepare and maintain all related records and reports.
• Perform other duties as directed or as responsibilities necessitate.
