About The Position

Durango School District 9-R is accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Art Teacher at Durango High School for the first semester of the 24/25 school year. Colorado teaching license or substitute authorization is required. Colorado teaching license with art endorsement or art degree preferred. The position starts on August 8, 2024, and ends on November 11, 2024. The rate for long term substituting is $265 per day.

Requirements

• Valid Colorado Department of Education license.
• A 3- or 5-year Colorado substitute authorization may also be accepted for the right candidate.
• Experience working with high school students in a classroom setting.
• Strong interpersonal communication, basic language, basic math, and basic writing skills.
• Minimum of two professional or academic references.
