ACES is seeking a long-term substitute for a Speech and Language Pathologist Assistant to work with students with a wide range of communication disorders in our Village School program. Position begins March 30th and ends June 24th. Join a dynamic related services team within ACES' schools. ACES is committed to mentoring and providing professional development for staff to facilitate and encourage staff to gain knowledge and skills to best serve students. Candidates with experience working with low incident populations (i.e. autism, multiple disability, social/behavioral/emotional challenges) are encouraged to apply. Strong candidates will possess excellent oral and written communication skills, strong collaboration skills, and successful, previous experience within a school setting. Job responsibilities include providing direct and/or consultative services in a variety of scenarios, according to the requirements of the IEP. A certified Speech-Language Pathologist will provide supervision as required. The successful candidate will provide services for elementary and middle school students with IEPs. Essential job functions include but are not limited to, servicing students according to their IEP goals and objectives, collecting data on objectives, collaborating with colleagues to improve student outcomes, engaging in team meetings, maintaining logs of services provided, and any other tasks as assigned by supervisor.
