There are still lots of open positions. Let's find the one that's right for you.
As the Long-Range Historic and Cultural Planner and Facilities Senior Planner within the Planning and Project Delivery (PPD) Program, you will lead efforts to preserve and manage the historic and cultural assets of the State Capitol Campus and other DES-managed properties. Working under the authority of RCW 43.19.125 and RCW 79.24.720, you will develop and implement long-range facility and capital plans, oversee cultural resource planning and SEPA compliance, and support capital budget development and policy initiatives. You will collaborate closely with diverse internal teams and external stakeholders-including tribal, federal, state, and local representatives-to support the stewardship, operation, and improvement of state-owned historic buildings, parks, monuments, and infrastructure. Your role also includes participation in outreach, coordination meetings, and technical planning assignments that ensure the long-term sustainability and integrity of Washington's most significant public spaces.
