About The Position

Today, NVIDIA is tapping into the unlimited potential of AI to define the next era of computing. An era in which our GPU acts as the brains of computers, robots, and self-driving cars that can understand the world. Doing what’s never been done before takes vision, innovation, and the world’s best talent. As an NVIDIAN, you’ll be immersed in a diverse, encouraging environment where everyone is inspired to do their best work. Demand for inference is growing quickly. AI agents, long-horizon coding and research in particular, represent one of the largest proportions of demand for new tokens. They are also the fastest growing group, asymptotically accelerating as new regimes such as reasoning and parallel subagents further push the demand slope upward. We are looking to deeply understand the inference workload profiles of these agents as they evolve, developing the best understanding in the world so we can support building the best hardware in the world. Through this process, we will also engineer our own frontier agentic systems to ensure NVIDIA stays ahead of the curve.

Requirements

  • Pursuing or recently completed a BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science or related field or equivalent experience.
  • Background with how to build modern AI research and/or coding agents
  • Familiarity with how to evaluate quality performance of AI agents
  • Experience using coding agents like Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor
  • Experience with writing code in python and at least basic experience with languages like golang and rust where agents excel

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years experience with building modern agentic systems
  • Work experience in AI inference or agent companies

Responsibilities

  • Building long-horizon agentic systems in coding and research domains internally to accelerate productivity
  • Architecting autonomous research systems that analyze inference workload dynamics of leading coding agents under realistic conditions
  • Collaborating with teams that lead evaluation systems for software and hardware to improve eval quality
  • Supporting LPU division in adopting AI tooling and educating broader NVIDIA to improve workflow complexity and overall adoption
