About The Position
As an Auction Fundraising Intern, you will play a key role in supporting our fundraising efforts by assisting in the planning, coordination, and execution of auction events. This internship offers hands-on experience in event management, donor relations, and fundraising strategies within a dynamic and impactful organization. You will assist in the planning and organization of MUW Alumni Association (MUWAA) fundraising auctions, including acquiring auction items, coordinating logistics, and managing event materials. Additionally, you will conduct research to identify potential donors, sponsors, and auction items to enhance event offerings. You will collaborate with the MUW Office of Development and Alumni team, and the MUWAA Special Events Committee to create promotional materials for auctions, including social media content and email campaigns. Support will also be provided in the development of auction catalogs and item descriptions, ensuring accuracy and appeal to potential bidders. During auction events, you will manage auction items, facilitate bidder inquiries, and support the MUW Special Events Committee as needed. Post-event activities will include donor acknowledgments, data entry, shipping items, and event evaluation. This role may include some auction wrap-up responsibilities.
